About book

McKay, Ryan and Knowlton, three soldiers who served together in World War I, have been commissioned to track down Dawson Rand, the heir apparent to a wealthy estate. Rand has not been heard from in years, but a cryptic reference in a journal matching Rand’s distinctive description has brought the three soldiers to the Amazonia jungle in Brazil in search of their quarry.

A local witness describe seeing a white Indian of Rand’s description deep in the jungle, with skin painted with the markings of the “Red Bone” tribe. A tribe reputed to be cannibals. McKay, Ryan and Knowlton, not ones to scare easily, hire guides and gather supplies, then set off up the river into the trackless jungle. But their preparations caught the attention of a Prussian, who then took an interest in their journey…

Go in, find their man, bring him home. What could possibly go wrong?
